After Effects is a popular program that many people already heard about. With plenty of tools and effects that makes it become most popular software for video editing. This documentation i made will tell you about all basic features that editors use including me and also giving you tips for it. But you have to know something before jumping to the features so you guys can understand what i mean 😅.

Keyframes #

Keyframes become important role when you editing or for another word you need them. Keyframes are markers in time that allow you to tell After Effects where you want to change the value for a layer or effect property such as position, opacity, scale, rotation, amount, particle count, color, etc.

Keyframes in AE

Every transition or any effects that you want to add, turn on the keyframes. In this documentation i won't show any images because since it's transition transform, it more focused on graph editor keyframes itself. I'll explain to you about it.

Graph Editor #

Graph Editor is your main controller. Adding keyframe on footage isn't enough for you to full control the transform or effects you add. Mostly keyframes are static, it means for example you put first keyframe value 100% and your second keyframe is 0%. When you play it, it will change value staticly or constant it means no faster or slower.. just that. With graph editor you can control that keyframes. By taking over the area under the timeline's time ruler, Graph Editor affords a detailed view of property changes and a spacious area in which to edit them.

Transform #

Transform is an effect that allow you to control the footage. Move it right or left or make it bigger or smaller that's Transform. And transform are the main source transition for editors. Rather than using transition effect, transform allow you to control the transition itself. But with cost, time. It takes alot of time like adjusting the keyframe or value itself. But still transform are the ultimate control of your footage.

In this documentation i will tell you about Scale, Position, Rotation and Opacity. Because they're the most used for transition 🤓.
