Position

Position is a one of function feature that makes the footage move right, left, up, down and even foward and backward. With position you can create a move or slide transition like footage from center to right and etc.

Position tool in AE

Position tool have keyframes, chain x/y, & value of position itself.

Position tool in AE with separate x & y

You can do Separate Position with right click > separate position. Separate position split the regular position with seperate x & y. Separate position makes you can control one direction without changing x or y direction keyframe.

Position Graph

In Position graph it show position scale itself. Since position have x and y value it showed in graph with 2 border color. The Red one is x, while the Blue one is y.

Seperate position and choose one of axis position, it only show one position in graph itself.

If you turn on 3D object on AE, the Z position showed in graph itself. The color of z position is Green

Easy ease mode in x position

Add Easy ease if you want the transition smooth with slow at beginning, fast at middle and slow at the end.
